Save A Life
Brief
For the current project, we will be designing a poster based on a campaign of our choosing. We had to design three posters that could be used in a Public Service Announcement. We had to create compelling pieces of visual communication. The topic I chose to design these posters for was for self-harm and suicide prevention. To me, this is an important topic because it has affected people that I deeply care about. I want to help show that every life is precious and sometimes the solutions we try aren't the best for our well-being. Save a life that matters to everyone that surrounds us.
Sketches
The sketching part was very interesting. I first researched about my chosen topic to help spark ideas for the designing of the posters. I thought of many things and started sketching them out.
Final Projects
I wanted to make my designs were more simple than what I had in my sketches to make more of a typographic impact to people that saw the poster. I tried various ways to show the importance without focusing on the damage or pain that self-harm or suicide can cause. I wanted to focus more on the importance and value that each human being has.
